The Kentucky Wildcats have landed a Class of 2019 pledge.
It came on Mother’s Day when Jalen Geiger announced his commitment to UK:
This has been an amazing experience for me and my family. I’ve met people and seen things I’ve never imagined. Recruiting has definitely been a challenge but God showed me the way... I’m committed. #BBN pic.twitter.com/9742g94L0D— Jalen Geiger (@jalengeiger) May 13, 2018
A 6-1, 190-pound defensive back from South Carolina, Geiger plays high school football at Spring Valley. He holds offers from North Carolina, Virginia, Rutgers, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Kent State, Buffalo and Appalachian State among others.
Geiger is a bit of a under-the-radar prospect, as Rivals and ESPN don’t yet have an evaluation. 247 Sports gave him a three-star grade and ranks him as the 140th-best cornerback in 2019.
This news comes after UK lost a pledge from 2019 defensive back Keontra Smith on the same day.
Here are some highlights of Geiger in action from his junior season:
