Kentucky Wildcats 2021 point guard commit Nolan Hickman is, so far, the lone commit for UK in the 2021 class. However, Hickman says he has been trying to get that changed.
In an interview with Krysten Peek of Rivals, Hickman says he has been in contact with multiple targets including the likes of Skyy Clark, Patrick Baldwin, and Moussa Diabate. All three are major Kentucky targets, and Clark could become a Wildcat soon, though as a Class of 2022 recruit with the potential to reclassify.
”I’m with BBN so I’m helping out with whoever. Skyy Clark, you know with him being younger, I’m still recruiting him and telling him to come along,” Hickman said. “Patrick Baldwin. I’ve hit him up multiple times, and Moussa Diabate”
Hickman is ranked as the No. 52 overall player and has seen his stock rise since committing to the Wildcats and John Calipari. Hickman has risen 24 spots in the Rivals rankings. Outside of Patrick Baldwin, Jaden Hardy, Skyy Clark, Hunter Sallis, Moussa Diabate, and Bryce Hopkins, Kentucky has given out very few offers. The 2021 class could end up being one of the thinnest we have seen in Calipari’s tenure at Kentucky.
Fortunately for Kentucky, they will be free to go after any transfer in college basketball, regardless if they are a graduate or not, and have immediate eligibility.
Trust John Calipari’s process.
