Last night the NBA Draft Lottery was held, and the Minnesota Timberwolves drew the big prize. The Wolves seem to be in a good position to get enough good players to start winning some ball games next season. They already have Andrew Wiggins and Ricky Rubio, so either Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns seem most likely to be drafted in this spot.
SB Nation’s Kevin O’Connor says that the Wolves should draft Towns. I couldn’t agree more, which means they’ll probably draft Okafor.

Mark Stoops to attend the Governor’s Cup luncheon this year. I think that’s good, it’s such a minor commitment of time, and even though I know he’d rather be recruiting, you gotta pay homage to the rivalry.

Thon Maker will not finish school until December ($). What does this mean about his chances of coming to UK? I think the become slightly less, but that’s just a random feeling and not anything based on deep reasoning or analysis.

Of course?
Of course, chad ford has Timberwolves taking Karl-Anthony towns with 1st pick.

Knicks pick 4th. At Combine, WCS was told Phil Jackson likes bigs who defend well. WCS liked hearing that

John Calipari says he has no interest in the Pelican’s job. I consider this almost a non-story, we see it every year. If he wants to leave, you’ll never know it until it’s over. But I never thought the Pelicans were a fit for him.

Jamal Murray would be the crown jewel in Kentucky’s 2015 class if he reclassifies, and confidence is growing in Kentucky’s chances.

Caleb Swanigan was a big get for Purdue, but Mike DeCourcy says it doesn’t necessarily make them better:
The oddity of Swanigan’s choice of Purdue is that it was based in part on the presence of 7-0 senior A.J. Hammons and 7-2 sophomore Isaac Haas, centers who guarantee Swanigan will be deployed at power forward during his time with the Boilers.
But that means two things: Swanigan is going to have to defend mobile, perimeter-based 4-men such as Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes, Iowa’s Jarrod Uthoff, Maryland’s Jake Layman and Indiana’s high-flying Troy Williams.
