Welcome to the final day of the 2015 NCAA basketball season, which ends tonight in Indianapolis. Alas, the Kentucky Wildcats will be watching (or not) from the comfort of their dorm rooms.

Heh. There is no bad time to purchase your Kentucky Football season tickets.

Yes, yes, we get it. We need to talk about football. Let us grieve a little for God’s sake.

Gary Parrish opines on the legacy of the 2015 Wildcats. I don’t find much to criticize here, it’s fine.
-
Nothing coming out of Lexington about who’s staying and who’s going. As it should be right now, it’s way too early. I think we can be absolutely certain only about two guys, but I think at least four and as many as seven will move on.
-
Heh. Final game ticket prices drop like a rock after Kentucky loses.
-
Calipari says this season "changed college basketball." That looks like typical Calspeak to me.
-
The sadness of an imperfect ending. I think that we were all sad, and most still are. I have reached the 5th stage very quickly in this case, a tribute to the value of some extra years and lots of experience. For those of you still in the early stages, I remember how that was.

Kentucky’s imperfection defines modern college basketball. Typically overwrought take from someone who dislikes Kentucky. Yes, he’s trying to be fair, but from doing this for a living, I know that fairness writing about a rival is pretty much unachievable no matter how hard you try. You always want to get to the negative, no matter how circuitous the path.

Basketball quote of the year, from Gonzaga’s Mark Few:
"When we criticize the game, we’re using some selective memory here," Gonzaga coach Mark Few said. "We’ve got a unique product that millions of people love. Everything needs a little fixing and doctoring here and there. But, by and large, everything is really good."
It’s nice to hear an occasionally sane voice in the dystopian wasteland of gloom and doom by critics and sportswriters.

Alabama lands Avery Johnson as their new head coach. That’s pretty cool, it will be interesting to see how he does in college.

Johnny Manziel has "lost trust" among teammates. Maybe trading him would be a good idea.
