Kentucky takes on the Vanderbilt Commodores tonight in Rupp Arena. It will be interesting to see if the team takes them lightly, or if they maintain the intensity and focus of the last couple of games.

SB Nation’s Tennessee Titans blog the Music City Miracles has Za’Darius Smith #1 on their list of prospects to watch in the Senior Bowl. Seems like Smith is garnering a lot of attention these days.

The B1G’s Kentucky problem continues. To be fair, Kentucky isn’t hurting the big dogs in the Big Ten, just the rest of the conference.

Coach Cal is still not sure about the status of Dominique Hawkins. I hope he’ll be available soon. Tonight doesn’t much matter, but I’d really like to have him when we go down to Columbia to play South Carolina.

This article goes a long way to explain why Derek Willis isn’t getting more playing time:
He admits that lately, when it comes to practice and the extra time players spend working on their craft on their own afterward, "usually I’m one of the first people out."
That’s got to change if he wants to play. It’s really simple — Calipari will play you if you earn the time, but if you don’t, it really doesn’t matter if minutes are available at that spot. You have to earn your way on the floor.

Devin Booker is getting it done defensively as well as offensively. I think that’s right. He has been doing a much better job defensively of late.
-
Speaking of Booker, he just earned his second SEC Freshman of the Week honor in a row.

Randall Cobb hopes to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers. I think it’s a nice fit for him. Consider:
"Of course (I want to be back). I think I’ve made that obvious," Cobb said. "Like I’ve said before: This is a business. You don’t know how it’s going to go. What direction it’s going to go in. You just have to sit around. I hope that I’ve put myself in the position where it’ll handle itself. But only time can tell."

Randall Cobb is going to the Pro Bowl. Good for him, he certainly deserves it.

Too much sitting raises the risk of death, even if you exercise. I try to get up and walk around as often as possible, but not because of this — I just get tired of sitting and I am fighting a couple of chronic repetitive strain injuries.
