Damien Harris was treated to a helicoptered-in Mark Stoops on Friday, who stayed for the whole game, then got to fly up for an official visit to Ohio St. where he got to witness the Buckeyes lose to Virginia Tech. This tweet pretty much says it all:
Mark Stoops helicoptering in on Friday and staying for the whole game plus OSU losing while Harris is there is literally best case scenario

Tweet of the Morning
Highlight of the night was when a guy who looked like John Calipari was on the kiss cam and the entire stadium booed.

This was at the Louisville football game. They might as well boo, because they’re going home butt-hurt from The Chicken Bucket this December. Booing will help with the pain.
Kentucky 2nd nationally in turnover margin, 20th in total offense, tied for sixth in scoring defense.

Mark Stoops tells the players to lose the dour attitude over the game, be happy with the win, and get to work getting better:
"I told them to enjoy the victory and not be sulking around. If things didn’t go the way they wanted to individually, then go back to work and change it," Stoops said. "We can’t have any selfishness. It’s about the team, it’s about everybody getting better and everybody pulling for each other and doing the right things, so we’ve got to get rid of anybody that might have any individual thoughts.
Exactly right.

Mark Stoops shares our concern about Towles’ running. The only comment I would have is that it’s great Towles is mobile, but let’s keep his running moderate, not a feature of the offense.
-
Kentucky is hardly alone at 2-0 in the SEC. True, but the fact UK is 2-0 is important — to UK fans, at least.
-
Kentucky’s Jeremiah Dinson’s commitment on social media makes ESPN’s "Best of the visits."
-
Is beating Florida worth a tatoo? Patrick Towles seems to think so, and for a fact, it would be a memory worth commemorating considering UK’s losing streak.
-
A win is a win, especially when your next game is in the Swamp:
In case you’ve forgotten — no one could blame if you tried really hard to forget — Kentucky football has lost 16 straight conference games.Kentucky hasn’t won an SEC road game since beating Georgia in Athens in 2009. It hasn’t beaten Florida since 1986. That’s a lot of history to reverse.

* Okay, this is a first. No basketball news today that I could find. So if you haven't read it yet, be sure and read my final evaluation of the Big Blue Bahamas from earlier this week.

Beamer Ball jumps back into the national spotlight. I hope Damien Harris enjoyed the OSU loss. I know I did, for entirely selfish reasons — anything negative around OSU is good when it comes to getting Harris.

Charles Barkley says he cot some cash from agents while at Auburn. Consider:
"I think the most I took was $20,000. It made me stay in school another year. $20,000 is not a lot of money, but I was able to do some stuff for my mother and grandmother and I had some spending money. I’m cool. I don’t have to go into the real world of the NBA after one college season," Barkley said in the interview.
I wonder if $20k in the form of a loan would make more players stay in school rather than jump? There has been a lot of water under the bridge since then.
