Today, the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Florida Gators in the Swamp. It has been 27 years since Kentucky last beat Florida In November of 1986. For reference, I had just been out of the Navy for 2.5 months, Ronald Regan was president, and the IBM PC (80386 version) was the hottest PC available. The 286-based machines were still much more common.
There was no widely-available electronic mail or public access to the Internet, which had just begun to emerge as a viable technology in 1982. Most long-distance business was accomplished using Telex and fax. HD television was not even a dream in an engineer’s eye.
As I said, it was a long time ago.
Tweet of the Morning
After seeing Vanderbilt play 2.5 games without him, I say put James Franklin in the Hall of Fame.

No doubt Vandy is a different team without him.
