There was an earthquake today in northern California, a magnitude 6.0, that was the most significant earthquake in the area in decades. So far there have been no deaths reported, but scores of injuries, three of them critical.

• Rivals 250 receiver Ryan Davis is considering an official visit to Kentucky. Davis is from St. Petersburg, Florida. Florida and Florida State still have to be considered the favorites for his services.

• Year 2 of Mark Stoops: Attitude adjustment. Consider:

  He says he had nothing to do with that. In fact, he’d likely tweak it if he could. Stoops’ mission entering his second season as head coach can be distilled down to one simple idea: Change the culture. Early indications are that he is.

You put that all together and it gets back to what I knew coming into it: Be extremely organized.
