The SEC Network owns the rights to televise Big Blue Madness, but apparently will decline to do so, televising a volleyball game instead. This has incensed Kentucky fans, who are now trying to get them to release the rights to local TV stations. It will appear on ESPN3, which is available on Time Warner Cable, but many other people will not get to see it live other than on the Internet.
#FreeBigBlueMadness is trending. The louder you are, the more likely the SEC Network is to respond. For details, see this FanPost.

-
Trey Lyles plans to be his own type of player at Kentucky, saying he can shoot it from the arc and doesn’t mind defending. That’s good, because if you don’t defend, you won’t play.

Biggest surprise: Kentucky
Mark Stoops’ recruiting success made it clear that the future was becoming brighter in Lexington, but it would be hard to say we expected the Wildcats to be 5-1 right now. They’ve performed well beyond preseason expectations and are poised to become bowl-bound for the first time since the 2010 season. – Sam Khan
