The 6-3 guard is ranked the No. 3 player and top combo guard in the class of 2019 by the 247 Sports Composite ratings.
Anthony has 12 scholarship offers, including an offer from in-state rival Louisville. His crystal ball favorite is currently Duke, with Oregon also getting some predictions. Kentucky hasn’t ‘reportedly’ offered him, but there has been interest.
Anthony’s recruitment has been a major mystery, as indicated by Duke insider and 247 recruiting guru Andrew Slater changing his crystal ball prediction to ‘foggy.’
John Calipari and Tony Barbee visited Anthony in February 2017. Barbee also visited him prior to that in 2016. He hasn’t made a campus visit to Kentucky. More recently, Anthony has visited North Carolina, Miami, Wake Forest and UCLA this month. Those are the only four visits he’s taken so far this year.
Anthony, who is from Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, will play his senior season at Oak Hill Academy. Oak Hill was the high school home of current Kentucky Wildcat Keldon Johnson, as well as former Wildcat and NBA champion Rajon Rondo.
Anthony is regarded as some to be the best player in the class. He’s about as versatile as it gets for a guard. He’s strong inside for his size, he can shoot, he can pass and he can run the break.
