UK showing more interest in Isaiah Stewart, will watch him play at combine

The UK staff will attend a combine to see the five-star center. Will an offer come?

At 6-9, 245 pounds, Isaiah Stewart is going to be one of the most physically-imposing players in college basketball once he gets there.

So it’s no surprise then that the five-star 2019 prospect has a whopping 41 scholarship offers.

Kentucky is not one of the 41 schools to have offered Stewart yet, but that might change soon. The No. 5 player in the class told Adam Zagoria that UK has shown interest despite not offering yet.

According to Zagoria, UK will be one of 13 schools expected to attend the City Rocks/Expressions Elite Combine at West New England University where Stewart will showcase his skills.

Stewart is ranked as the No. 2 center in the 2019 class. The Rochester, New York, native’s scholarship list includes offers from Duke, Louisville, UCLA, Florida and Tennessee. The Duke Blue Devils are currently the favorite in his crystal ball, receiving 90 percent of the predictions.

Stewart also told Zagoria that he would focus on cutting his list down to five teams after the Peach Jam, and then he’d schedule visits and hope to have his recruitment done by the time he finishes his visits.

This is yet another big man UK is seemingly showing more interest in with James Wiseman rumored to be trending toward Memphis. UK has also reached out to Armando Bacot and Kofi Cokcburn recently, though Stewart has a great argument as the best of that group.
