One of the best high school basketball events of the year is just a few weeks away.

The Peach Jam is one of the top events each year and finalizes the Nike AAU circuit for 2018. This year, the tournament will take place from July 11th-15th in North Augusta, South Carolina.

Teams have been battling on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer to lock in as a qualifier for the Peach Jam. There was speculation earlier this year that the event was in danger of being canceled because of the FBI scandal of the spring. Thankfully, it will be business as usual with no interruption.

The best high school players in the country will be aiming to make a name for themselves as coaches from around the country are sure to be in attendance.

An opportunity to participate in this event allows players a chance to show what they can do against elite competition in a pressure packed environment. As each team advances, the crowd and tension grows.

The championship game of the Peach Jam has been labeled as one of the very best atmospheres in all of high school basketball.

-Cole Anthony of the PSA Cardinals was the best player on the Nike circuit this summer. He seems to have interest in Kentucky and will be someone to keep a close eye on over the next few months. Anthony is an elite athlete and play-maker and the son of former NBA star, Greg Anthony.

-Vernon Carey is another top recruit for 2019 and will be playing for Nike Team Florida.

-Team WhyNot is a first year squad organized by Russell Westbrook
