It looks like UK may have a new name to watch for in the Class of 2020.
According to Corey Evans of Rivals.com, Ace Baldwin has scheduled an unofficial visit to UK
A 6-foot-1 playmaking guard that can create for others and himself, facilitate a half-court offense, and guard the basketball at a high rate, Baldwin will take an unofficial visit to Kentucky on June 12.
Baldwin, who hails from St. Francis High School in Baltimore (MD), is ranked 70th overall in the 2020 class by Rivals. 247 Sports ranks him 92nd overall. He currently holds scholarship offers from UConn, Rutgers, Miami, Kansas State, TCU, UNLV and VCU among others.
While he has yet to score an offer from bigger-name programs, he is receiving interest from Villanova, Kansas, North Carolina, and now UK.
In 2020, UK has already extended scholarship offers to Scottie Barnes and N’Faly Dante. It’s unclear how high Baldwin is on UK’s big board for 2020, but there’s probably some level of interest if he’s taking an unofficial visit.
Back in March, it was reported that UK was in contact with Baldwin, who offered up these comments:
Kentucky: “They play fast also. They play really good defense. I know Coach (John) Calipari is a hard coach and he pushes guys to get to the league.”
