The Kentucky Wildcats have found a new recruiting coordinator.
According to FootballScoop, former Florida Gators director of player personnel E.K. Franks will become a recruiting coordinator at UK. Franks had been working under new head coach Dan Mullen this year, but UK was able to pull him away from Gainesville.
Franks has prior experience in the SEC, as he previously served in a similar capacity at Arkansas for Bret Bielema. Franks came to Fayetteville with an extensive background of college football experience, mostly serving as associate head coach and running backs coach at Southeastern Louisiana. He also had stints at Wisconsin, Kansas State and Delta State.
It’s unclear why Franks left Arkansas to join Mullen’s staff this past January, only to leave four months later to become UK’s recruiting coordinator, but nonetheless, this looks like a solid hire for UK.
