The Kentucky Wildcats are losing a pair of football players to transfer.

On Monday, cornerback Tobias Gilliam announced he was leaving the program to head elsewhere.

Not long after, linebacker Jaylin Bannerman made the same announcement:

Gilliam, who hails from Dayton (OH), was a three-star prospect in UK’s 2016 signing class. He played in six career games and made three tackles. He held offers from Nebraska, Minnesota, Penn State, Purdue and West Virginia among others.

Even so, Gilliam, was going to be pretty deep on the depth chart entering the 2018 season, as cornerback is one of UK’s deepest positions.

Bannerman, who’s from Pickerington (OH), was also a three-star prospect in UK’s 2016 class. He came to UK as an outside linebacker and made two tackles in his career, though he briefly moved to tight end this past season.

Coming out of high school, Bannerman had offers from Michigan State, Pitt and Illinois among others.
