Ashton Hagans has reclassified into 2018 class

The future Wildcats point guard is now a high school grad.

Future Kentucky point guard Ashton Hagans has finished his reclassification and is on his way to Lexington soon.

Hagans just tweeted this:

Cov News Sports and Prep Hoops reporter Samad Hines have also confirmed that Hagans has reclassified and will be at UK for the 2018-19 season. 247 Sports recruiting reporter Evan Daniels says the plan is for Hagans to be in Lexington next week.

Hagans was one of the top point guards in the 2019 class and a consensus top 10 prospect, ranking as high as No. 7 at 247 Sports. However, the buzz was all about him reclassifying to 2018 to join the stable of guards at Kentucky alongside Quade Green, Immanuel Quickley, Tyler Herro, Jemarl Baker, and others.

It looks like Hagans will be at Kentucky early enough to go to the Bahamas in August, another question many fans had been wondering about.

Getting Hagans this soon is a very big deal for Kentucky, in my opinion. He will have some catching up to do, and undoubtedly he will have a learning curve as he should be in high school for another year, but being able to go on the Bahamas trip to bond with the other players and grow together will be huge for the Wildcats point guard.

If you forgot what Hagans is capable of, here’s a small look.
