PJ Washington has big things planned for next season, and he hopes to have more teammates joining the fun.
As of now, Washington is set to be one of just eight scholarship players on the roster for the 2018-19 season. However, UK is expected to get Ashton Hagans on campus once he officially reclassifies into the 2018 class.
Then there’s the case of Reid Travis, the highly-touted Stanford transfer that is strongly considering UK. It sounds like Washington would like to add both guys to next year’s team. Travis is set to visit UK next week, and he’d be a force in the pain with Washington playing next to him.
As for Hagans, he could easily become UK’s best point guard next season, which could obviously help put Washington in better position to succeed.
During a meeting with the media on Thursday, Washington spoke about various topics, including some potentially new teammates. He also gave an update on his injured pinky, which he recently had surgery to correct.

The hope is Washington will be fully healed soon and be a full-go when the team heads to the Bahamas in August. UK is also hoping to have two new teammates for Washington by then in Hagans and Travis.
Next season is shaping up to be a very fun ride.
