2013 forward Aaron Gordon from San Jose (Cal.) Archbichop Mitty is Lexington-bound. The talented five-star prospect is taking his fifth and final official visit this weekend, checking out the Kentucky Wildcats. Because Kentucky plays the Maryland Terrapins in Brooklyn tonight, the Wildcats coaching staff will not see Gordon until tomorrow.

Gordon has already taken official visits to see his other finalists: the Washington Huskies, Arizona Wildcats, Oregon Ducks, and Kansas Jayhawks. Although he will have completed all his official visits in the fall, Gordon remains adamant that he will make a spring decision.

With regards to Kentucky, it's possible that Gordon is waiting to see what fellow top prospect Julius Randle will do. For Kentucky, Gordon and Randle are likely mutually exclusive. Randle is a true power forward, and though Gordon is more of a combo forward, Kentucky already has five-star swingman James Young committed, and are pursuing #1 overall prospect Andrew Wiggins as well.

The Wildcats are considered a long shot for Gordon, who will likely remain on the West Coast. But the proof is in the pudding: never count out Coach Cal.
