The recruiting trail leads to Atlanta this weekend for some Nike EYBL action

You can expect a large UK presence at this tournament.

For the majority of summer recruitment, coaching staffs have to divide up responsibilities and ship off to different tournaments around the country. This weekend, however, the Nike EYBL Circuit is the only show in town and some of the top players in the country will be in action in Atlanta, GA.

Luckily, Nike is where a lot of the big fish play. Top 2019 recruits Vernon Carey and James Wiseman will be representing their teams in Atlanta, and they will be accompanied by a host of other Kentucky targets.

In addition to Wiseman and Carey, the other 2019 targets present will be Jalen Lecque, Kira Lewis Jr., and Keion Brooks. Commits D.J. Jeffries and Tyrese Maxey from 2019 (probably) will also be in action.

For the 2020 class, the Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff will be able to see Ethan Morton, Addison Patterson, and Scottie Barnes. Barnes is one of only two players in the class to receive an offer from Coach Calipari.

In-state prospect Zion Harmon will be playing with Brad Beal Elite after playing only one tournament with James Wiseman’s Bluff City Legends squad earlier this summer. Harmon is one of the top point guards in the 2021 class and currently has offers from Creighton, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

It is too early to tell if Calipari is interested in the star from Adair County, but this weekend would be a wonderful opportunity to get noticed.

These recruiting targets will be in action Friday through Sunday, and you can bet this will be a hot spot for top coaches with the other AAU circuits off this weekend.
