The Miami-Florida Hurricanes and North Carolina Tar Heels just had one of, if not the best finish of the 2017-18 college basketball season.
It came in the final seconds as UNC appeared to have completed a furious rally from being down 14 points. On Senior Night, the elder statesman Joel Berry III hit a game-tying three-pointer, and the game appeared set for overtime...
That is, until Miami’s Ja’Quan Newton said otherwise. With time running out and Newton just past midcourt, the senior heaved a prayer at the buzzer that was nothing but net.
It capped off one of the wildest finishes you’ll see in a college game, and it was a great way to help wrap up the final week of regular season play:
