The Kentucky Wildcats enter the fall with three commitments, two of which are ranked inside the top 10.
Will they score another top-10 pledge by the end of the fall signing period?
It’s not looking good since Vernon Carey, James Wiseman and Cole Anthony are all planning to decide in the spring, but there is one big-name player planning a fall decision.
That would be five-star forward Matthew Hurt, who plans to visit Kentucky at some point in the coming months. He’ll also host Kentucky for an in-home visit soon, according to Jake Weingarten.

Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas will all be in on September 9th to visit with Hurt.
This is actually the same weekend Wiseman is taking his official visit, though that will likely conclude sometime Sunday before John Calipari and/or one of his staff members goes to see Hurt.
While all of the frontcourt focus has been on Wiseman and Carey, Hurt is also someone Kentucky is firmly in the mix for. However, the Kansas Jayhawks are still viewed as the significant favorite going into the fall. The Rochester (MN) native is currently favored to pick Kansas in the 247 crystal ball. He is ranked No. 6 overall nationally by 247 Sports Composite.
The 6-9 power forward has previously told Rivals that he’s hoping to make his commitment in November for the early signing period, meaning he’ll have to take all five of his official visits (as well as some unofficials) this fall, as he hasn’t made any visits yet.
