The Louisville Cardinals are off to another rough start. After a loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday, things are looking even more bleak after the loss of forward JJ Traynor for the remainder of the season.
With only seven scholarship players available, Kenny Payne is now in need of some more bodies as he hopes to turn the season around.
Things have gotten so bad that he’s publicly asking for walk-ons.
Louisville coach Kenny Payne on Cards’ personnel shortages: “If you’ve got a great walk-on, send him my way. We need players.”— Tim Sullivan (@TimSullivan714) January 6, 2024
“If you’ve got a great walk-on, send him my way. We need players,” said Payne.
The Cards will now be without Traynor, alongside Dennis Evans and Koron Davis. It is shaping up to be an uphill battle for the Cards as they look to pull off a couple of upset wins in the ACC.
Will the Cards be able to pull off any wins? That’s a question facing the team just down I-64.
Know someone with some collegiate eligibility? Sounds like Payne might take them.
