This Kentucky Wildcats team has the college basketball world on notice, as John Calipari has his squad ready to roll with SEC play just getting underway.

After a win at Florida and a home victory over Missouri, the Cats will now head to College Station for a date with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Like most fans of the sport, everyone will have their eyes on the Cats as they go against an A&M team that likes to slow things down on both ends of the court. Still, people are excited to watch these Cats take the court.

One basketball legend is also a huge fan of this Kentucky team: Former Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

John Calipari joined Coach K on a podcast recently, and the legendary coach had this to say about the current Cats squad.

“I want to tell you, I’ve watched your team a few games, and I like your team. You’re doing something different with this team,” K said to Cal. “The fact that you share the ball without turning it over, and somehow you’re using your bigs differently. You’ve always done a great job with the perimeter guys, giving them freedom.”

Coach K continued with this about Calipari himself:

“And you’re excited about your team, which is really cool. At this time of the year, a lot of coaches aren’t that excited about their teams,” Coach K said. “What I enjoy doing — I know you’ve done the same thing, and you’re doing it right now — you have this really good group that can do all of these things, but they share the ball. Six double-figure scorers.”

This Kentucky team has given fans something to get excited about. Now, go beat the Aggies.
