A popular name among Kentucky Wildcats fans for the next head coach of the UK program is former assistant, Jon Sumrall.

After several successful seasons with the Troy Trojans, Sumrall is now headed to New Orleans to be the next head coach of the Tulane Green Wave.

After two seasons with the Trojans, Sumrall finished with a 23-4 record, and two Sun Belt Conference Championships wins.

He will now take over a program that has seen quite a bit of success under former head coach, Willie Fritz. With Fritz now headed to be the coach for the Houston Cougars, Sumrall will have some big shoes to fill with the Green Wave.

Best of luck to Jon, and the Green Wave!
