Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats have their next quarterback!

Georgia Bulldogs transfer Brock Vandagriff announced on Wednesday that he has committed to Kentucky. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

This whole process moved very fast for the Cats as Vandagriff hit the portal on December 4th and two days later committed to Kentucky.

According to Rivals, Vandagriff was a 5-star talent and was ranked as the No. 8 overall player and the No. 2 overall quarterback in the 2021 class.

Vandagriff made a real run at being the Bulldogs’ starting QB this last spring, but after a long decision process, Kirby Smart ultimately gave the keys to Carson Beck.

This season, Vandagriff appeared in seven games and threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Vandagriff checks a lot of boxes for Kentucky, and it’s also worth mentioning that Stoops’ most successful QB was a transfer from a powerhouse school that could not win the job in Will Levis.

Hopefully, the Cats will have that same success and even more with Vandagriff under center.

Here is how Twitter reacted to the news.
