The Kentucky Wildcats will not have a full roster when they play host to the Illinois State Redbirds.
Prior to tip-off, UK announced that sophomore Adou Thiero would miss the game due to what’s being called general soreness.
While it’s unclear what the injury stems from, it’s probably from this hard fall Thiero took during the beatdown of the Louisville Cardinals.

Hopefully, this will turn out to be nothing more than a precautionary measure, as Thiero is an irreplaceable piece of this roster that’s making an impact that no one player can replicate.
The 6-foot-8, 222-pounder is averaging 7.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 31.6% from deep. He’s a good defender who can play in the paint or on the perimeter while defending all five spots with his physicality and athleticism.
He’s also hit two of his last four 3s over the past two games after hitting just one of six attempts over his first eight games and can even run the offense if needed.
