Ray Davis reflects back on season at Kentucky

“I am proud to be a gotdamn Wildcat, and I am going to love it forever.”

The Kentucky Wildcats came up just short against the Clemson Tigers this afternoon, dropping to 7-6 on the season. For many across the BBN, they will consider this year to be a disappointment.

One thing that no fan can argue against is the season put together by running back, Ray Davis.

Entering the year, the Vanderbilt transfer was mostly considered a player who would have a solid impact but wouldn't reach the superstar level of Benny Snell or Chris Rodriguez.

Well, that thought proved to be wrong.

Davis finished the year with 1,129 rushing yards while also adding 14 touchdowns. Davis also added 33 receptions for 323 yards and another seven TDs.

Taking the podium after his final game as a Wildcat, here is what the star running-back had to say:

“I am proud to have come to Kentucky. I am proud to be able to represent this program and institution the best that I can... I am proud to be a gotdamn Wildcat, and I am going to love it forever.”

Now, Davis is off to the NFL, and one thing is for sure: the BBN will be cheering for whatever team selects him in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Thanks for the memories!
