The Kentucky Wildcats just took a big hit on defense.

Friday evening, standout linebacker Trevin Wallace announced his intention to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wallace announced the news on Instagram.

A 4-star, top-50 recruit in the class of 2021, Wallace has been a significant contributor in all three years he spent in Lexington.

As a true freshman, he played in 12 games (one start) and made 32 total tackles with 4.0 tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup.

In 2022, Wallace appeared in 12 games (six starts) while recording 54 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two interceptions.

This season, Wallace made 11 starts and missed one game due to injury, finishing the year with 69 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble.

Look for Kentucky to look at the transfer portal for added linebacker depth next season.

Best of luck to Wallace in the pros!
