Howard is going to be one of the best QBs in the transfer portal for this cycle, and Kentucky is an option. So is Louisville, Auburn, and Missouri.

The Kentucky Wildcats’ regular season is over, which means the coaching staff will now begin frantically scouring the transfer portal for a new quarterback.

With Devin Leary set to play his final collegiate game in whatever bowl Kentucky makes, there’s now a major need for a new signal caller to ensure the program keeps moving forward next season.

One of the biggest names to enter the portal thus far is Kansas State Wildcats star Will Howard.

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, the Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Missouri Tigers, Auburn Tigers, and Washington Huskies are possible landing spots for Howard, who may also enter the 2024 NFL Draft.

He will have one season of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-5, 242-pound Howard is coming off a senior season in which he completed 61.3% of his passes for 2,643 yards (7.4 yards per attempt) with 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions with 15 sacks taken. He also carried the ball 80 times for 364 yards (4.6 avg) and nine scores.

It’s very early in the transfer portal process, but Howard should be one of the top quarterbacks to transfer in this cycle, so it’s good to see Kentucky is already considered a potential landing spot.
