The last 24 hours for the BBN have been a whirlwind. After knocking off the Louisville Cardinals Saturday afternoon, the winds started to shift as reports started to come out that Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops was headed to College Station to be the next head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies.

Fast-forward a few more hours into the night, and the winds shifted again. This time, saying that Stoops was expected to stay in Lexington, which ultimately ended up being the final choice as the UK coach took to Twitter to squash the reports.

Now the Aggies have found their guy, and it is another coach right off the Jimbo Fisher tree.

According to new reports, it is expected that Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Elko will return to College Station to take over the Aggies program.

Elko was the defensive coordinator for Texas A&M from 2018-21, before taking the head coaching gig with the Blue Devils. During his two seasons in Durham, Elko has posted a 16-9 record, which includes a bowl win last season. They are currently 7-5 this year with a big win over a ranked Clemson Tigers squad.

It was a whirlwind, but Ross Bjork and the Aggies have found their guy, and Kentucky kept Stoops.
