Time for the Governor’s Cup.

Good morning, BBN!

The day has finally come as the Kentucky Wildcats head down I-64 to face off against the Louisville Cardinals in the annual Governor’s Cup battle in the Bluegrass.

The Cats come into the game as heavy underdogs as they sit at 6-5 on the year. At the same time, Jeff Brohm has the Cards playing the best they have in years, sitting at 10-1 and an upcoming date in the ACC Championship Game against FSU in Charlotte.

For Kentucky, this is going to be a game that dictates how pressing this offseason can be. Win this game, and some momentum will be taken into one of the most important off-seasons of the Mark Stoops era. If they lose this game, things will be doom and gloom in Lexington until the BBN sees some improvement next year.

A lot to play for today down on Floyd Street. Let’s see if the Cats can make some noise.
