The Kentucky Wildcats return from the holiday with a home matchup tonight against the Marshall Thundering Herd.
The Wildcats last played on Monday when it took overtime to defeat a sneaky good Saint Joseph’s team, 96-88. After a few days rest and even a return to practice by big man Aaron Bradshaw (who hasn’t played in a game yet this season), the Wildcats will look to extend their win streak tonight at Rupp Arena.
Coming into the game, Kentucky is considered to have a significant advantage, with DraftKings Sportsbook listing the Wildcats as 17.5-point favorites. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index echoes that, giving Kentucky an 83.5% chance to pull out the victory.
As mentioned before, Bradshaw did reportedly make his return to practice this week. But it’s unlikely he will see the floor tonight as the team takes their time inserting him into the lineup. Once he’s in the rotation, though, his size and ability to stretch the floor will be an instant boost to what Kentucky’s able to do at both ends of the court.
Add in what’s expected to be the debut of both Ugonna Onyenso and Zvonimir Ivisic sooner rather than later, and these Wildcats look pretty scary.
In the meantime, Kentucky will continue to roll out its guard-heavy lineup. It’s been a pretty efficient rotation so far this season, leading to high-volume attempts from behind the arc and an impressive assist/turnover ratio.
The Wildcats will take on the Thundering Herd tonight at 7 pm ET with television coverage on the SEC Network.

This is nuts.
Marshall is 2-3 this season, having lost two of three games in the Cayman Island Classic earlier this week. Kevon Voyles leads the Herd, averaging 15.8 points per game, while Nate Martin averages 13.0 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Saying all the right things ahead of Saturday.
What’s best for your team?
Let’s just hope he gets enough touches.
Memphis continues to be short-handed.
Certainly more than just one or two things.
Thoughts on this?
That was a tough one.
Everything you need for this weekend.
