After the Kentucky Wildcats nearly defeated the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks, they moved up one spot in the latest AP Poll, coming in at No. 16. Kentucky did not move in the Coaches Poll, staying at No. 16.
As for Andy Katz’ Power 36 rankings, Kentucky is also ranked at No. 16, with him having high remarks for UK after their performance against Kansas and how they will be in contention for the SEC, which has five other teams ranked with two more receiving votes.
As for the other teams in the AP Poll, it remained the same for the teams ranked in the top nine, and sliding into No. 10 was Miami (FL), who Kentucky will be playing on Tuesday, November 28th. That could be a top-15 matchup next week in Lexington if both teams win out this week.
Also, there’s a chance that centers Zvonimir Ivisic and Aaron Bradshaw will be able to play against Miami (FL) if the NCAA rules before next Tuesday and Bradshaw is healthy enough to play.
