@ShaedonSharpe

What a week it’s been for Big Blue Nation... First a blowout win in the Kentucky football team’s home opener and now men’s basketball head coach John Calipari has landed Shaedon Sharpe — the No. 1 prospect the class of 2022.

Sharpe took to his personal Twitter page to make his announcement — a commitment that lands Kentucky their first No. 1 prospect in a recruiting class since Nerlens Noel in 2012.

The Glendale, AZ star chose Kentucky over several other quality programs like Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma State and even the NBA G-League. He’ll join Skyy Clark in what is expected to be a star-packed recruiting class for next fall.

Standing at 6’5 and 215 pounds, Sharpe is a long guard able to finish at the rim but his ability to shoot from anywhere on the floor sets him apart from other recruits in his class. It’s difficult to guard someone like Sharpe that can take the ball to the rim but also rise up over you and drain 30-footers. See a complete film breakdown by KSR here.
