Monday Headlines: Missouri Game Week Edition

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Missouri Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

After a rocky first drive to kick off the season against UL Monroe, Kentucky quickly pulled their offense together en route to a 45-10 home victory. This Saturday, Kentucky will play host to the Missouri Tigers, a game of which the Wildcats have opened as five-point favorites.

Despite being favorites and holding this weekend’s opposition to 10 points, Kentucky’s defense will have a challenge with Missouri running back Tyler Badie. Badie posted 203 yards on 25 carries, caught three balls for 40 yards and scored twice for the Tigers in their season opener.

As for the Wildcats offense, quarterback Will Levis and his arsenal of weapons will look to sustain their momentum. The offense certainly looks more flashy with Levis under center, but don’t forget about star running back Chris Rodriguez. Grinding clock and controlling the game will be the key against a Southeastern Conference opponent.

What are your early predictions for Saturday’s game? Will Kentucky start the season 2-0?
