Top-25 recruit Nick Smith Jr. will no longer be traveling to the Bluegrass as previously planned this weekend.
Travis Branham of 247 Sports reports Smith will not be taking his official visit to Kentucky this weekend after planning to arrive in Lexington Friday.
2022 five-star CG Nick Smith Jr. will not be taking his official visit to Kentucky this weekend, he tells @247Sports.

Was set to arrive on campus yesterday but did not make the trip.
The 5-star guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, is the 19th-ranked prospect in the class of 2022 by 247 Sports Composite and the third-best combo guard. He does not have any crystal ball projections from 247 Sports, but Travis Graf and Jamie Shaw of Rivals previously projected the Cats to land Smith. Graf has since updated his projection to “unlikely” for Kentucky.
It’s unclear why Smith has postponed his visit or if he will reschedule, but it could be seen as another sign Kentucky is in great shape with 5-stars Cason Wallace and Shaedon Sharpe. Landing those two would lead to a log jam at the guard position for Smith to potentially join, especially if some of Kentucky’s current guards such as Dontaie Allen, CJ Fredrick, TyTy Washington or Sahvir Wheeler return next season in addition to the already-committed Skyy Clark.
Sharpe will make his decision next Tuesday, and Wallace is set to decide on November 7. Wallace is currently on an official visit with the Texas Longhorns and will visit with the Tennessee Volunteers later this month.
Had been told by multiple folks that if UK wanted Smith, they’d have him.

This tells me there’s not room with a Skyy Clark, Cason Wallace, Shaedon Sharpe backcourt. https://t.co/vAg2LKZ1go
