Practice season for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team has begun.
Day 1 was yesterday, and we got a little bit of an update on the injury situation involving CJ Fredrick and Jacob Toppin.
Toppin is coming back from a minor shoulder injury and is expected to return to practice soon, and KSR’s Jack Pilgrim had this to say about Fredrick.
The Iowa transfer began training last week and is in the process of ramping up his on-court work. He’s expected to return as a full participant in practice in the next week or so, well in advance of UK’s exhibition and regular-season matchups.
Practice should see plenty of competition in the backcourt especially between TyTy Washington and Sahvir Wheeler. But the frontcourt competition should be interesting too with guys like Keion Brooks, Jacob Toppin, and Bryce Hopkins battling for minutes.
Hopefully as practice goes on, the rotations begin to come into clearer view.
