Following up Wednesday’s Chris Livingston news for the 2022 recruiting class, Zach Geoghegan of Kentucky Sports Radio reported Thursday evening that Kentucky Wildcats basketball head coach John Calipari visited 2023 recruit Reed Sheppard earlier in the day.
Sheppard, a 6-foot-3 combo guard out of North Laurel (KY), is currently ranked as the 34th-best player in the country via 247 Sports. In addition to his obvious talents, Sheppard’s parents are former Wildcats themselves, and both had successful athletic careers at Kentucky.
Calipari paying Sheppard a visit is certainly something to be excited about. The 4-star recruit also has had interest from Virginia, but it’s hard to see Sheppard passing up an opportunity to play in Rupp Arena an hour north of his hometown.
What is your prediction for Sheppard and where he lands? Will it be Kentucky?

This one has to burn.
Pretty sweet accomplishment for Ahmad Wagner.
Total football guy.
Will the Wildcats develop a pass-rush?
What’s your prediction for Saturday?
Be honest... will anyone actually watch this?
Was this indeed the right call?
Easy to say when you have the Lions up next.
“I already know where I stand”
Will this impact his race for the AL MVP?
The rookie definitely has some swagger.
