The latest recruit to get an offer from Kentucky is top-five recruit Mackenzie Mgbako.

A new offer is out in the Class of 2023 for the Kentucky Wildcats, as John Calipari extended a scholarship offer to Mackenzie Mgbako.

Ranked No. 3 overall by Rivals, Mgbako hosted John Calipari and Orlando Antigua on Monday before getting the offer.

Prior to the Kentucky offer, Mgbako actually spoke about Kentucky’s interest in an interview with 247 Sports’ Dushawn London.

“Coach Antigua and I have a really good relationship, and we’ve been talking for almost a year now. His message has just been that Kentucky is a really good place to be and a place for me and that I will be very successful if I go there.”

As has been the case with many elite recruits under Calipari’s watch, this could be shaping up to be a Duke vs. Kentucky battle as the Blue Devils were viewed as the favorites prior to Kentucky offering.

With Chris Livingston set to join Shaedon Sharpe and Skyy Clark as Kentucky commitments in 2022, Calipari is already laying the groundwork for another big class in 2023.
