The Kentucky Wildcats win absolute war in Lexington to open SEC play over the Missouri Tigers, 35-28.
The Wildcats were plagued by turnovers all game long and mistakes all game long on, but answered on the offensive end with Will Levis, Chris Rodriguez, and Wan’Dale Robinson answering when Kentucky needed it most.
It was a run-dominant game by the Wildcats, reverting back to the power-run days of the past few seasons of the Mark Stoops tenure. CRJ ran for over 200 yards and four total touchdowns, with Will Levis adding one on the ground himself.
Wan’Dale Robinson became the first UK receiver with back-to-back 100-yard games since Jeff Badet in 2016. Robinson is a legit game-changer on the field.
This brings Kentucky to 2-0 on the season going into the Chattanooga game.
With this win, this sets Kentucky up for prime position to contend for the SEC East for the first time since 2018.

This is the kind of game Kentucky would absolutely lose before 2018. Since then it's the kind of game they've dug in and survived.

JJ Weaver. What a story. Third sack in first two games back from ACL at the end of last season. Wow.

I’m a 44 year old Kentucky football fan. I’m not holding my nose at an SEC win in a game the Cats never trailed. I’ll take it today, in two weeks, the Saturday after that and then a few more times in October.

Beatdowns are nice, but if you really want revenge on an opponent and for them to feel pain, this kind of game does it.
