It wasn’t long after the Dad Podcast started that people began clamoring for a Ryan Lemond appearance.
The wait it over!
Ryan was kind enough to grace us with his presence on this week’s episode, and it didn’t disappoint.
Most people immediately recognize Ryan as the relatable jokester from the Kentucky Sports Radio crew.
But ask him, and he’ll tell you that despite being amazing at it — his number one job isn’t to make the Big Blue Nation laugh — it’s to be a father to his family.
Ryan has never been one to hold back personal information about himself, heck, intimate details of his life are often shared on KSR for tens of thousands of people to hear each morning.
His willingness to discuss the challenges he faces as a father and husband have made him a relatable media personality that many adore.
Another major reason I was excited to talk with with Ryan is that we share a passion to support the same charitable organization.
Court-Appointed Special Advocates, or “CASA” for short, is an incredible organization that supports vulnerable, at-risk children.
Essentially, think of a CASA volunteer as an individual acting as a voice for a child so that their situation and needs are accurately presented to a judge while in court.
Believe it or not — Kentucky is the #1 state in America for child abuse. That’s a sickening stat that needs to change.
I personally served on the Board of Directors for CASA of the River Region, which is the local chapter here in Louisville, while Ryan remains active with the Lexington chapter.
I’d strongly encourage you to learn some more by clicking the link below. There are several ways to get involved and support a terrific cause.
It was no surprise that Ryan Lemond crushed his appearance on the Dad Pod and provided a ton of laughs.
I am appreciative that he also opened up about some extremely difficult challenges that he and his family are currently facing.
This will be an episode you won’t want to miss.
