Class of 2022 guard Cason Wallace is coming off an official visit with the Kentucky Wildcats this past weekend.
Now, Wallace has announced his final four, which include the Wildcats, UT San Antonio, Tennessee and Texas. He previously announced he’ll make his college decision on November 7th.

Wallace is consensus 5-star recruit ranked 16th by 247 Sports (third-best combo guard), 10th by Rivals (fourth-best shooting guard) and ninth by ESPN (second-best point guard).
Ever since the Wildcats offered Wallace a scholarship in July, they’ve gotten the most buzz in this recruitment, though Tennessee and Texas are still seen as threats for the Richardson (TX) native.
Both 247 Sports Crystal Ball projections favor Kentucky to land Wallace, while all three Rivals FutureCasts are on the side of Big Blue Nation. He holds additional offers from Baylor, Arkansas, Auburn, Texas Tech, West Virginia and Illinois among others.
For now, Wallace has official visits scheduled for Texas (September 4th) and Tennessee (September 17th).
Another 2022 backcourt target — Shaedon Sharpe — will make his decision on September 7th with Kentucky still viewed as the heavy favorite. It appears there’s a very real chance Kentucky’s 2022 backcourt has Sharpe, Wallace and Skyy Clark locked up when the fall signing period begins.
I’d say you won’t find many, if any backcourts in college basketball next year better than that.
