The recruitment of Keyonte George is over, as the 5-star guard just announced his commitment to the Baylor Bears.

Also making his final five were the Kentucky Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Texas Longhorns, and Oklahoma State Cowboys.

A 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Lewisville (TX), George is now the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2022 class at 247 Sports Composite. He was set to officially visit Kentucky in June, but that trip was nixed and never rescheduled.

Since then, the Wildcats have had virtually no buzz in this recruitment, despite making the final list. Texas was initially viewed as the heavy favorite, but Baylor had all the buzz leading into George’s decision.

Kentucky is still in the hunt from another elite Texas guard in Cason Wallace, who recently secured a scholarship offer from Kentucky. The Longhorns are also making him a priority after missing out on George, while Tennessee is another strong contender.
