Jamin Davis is wasting no time in making an impact for the Washington Football Team after they opted to use their first-round pick on him.
Pro Football Focus’s Doug Kyed was recently at a Washington practice and had good things to say about Davis, even saying that he will likely be a starter early on.
Linebacker Jamin Davis, a rocked-up first-round pick out of Kentucky, flies around the field in the middle of Washington’s starting defense. He didn’t appear to lose any speed or recognition with pads coming on for the first time this summer at the Inova Sports Performance Center in Ashburn on Tuesday.
Notes from WFT practice:
— Doug Kyed (@DougKyed) August 3, 2021
-- First-round LB Jamin Davis is impressing early and looks primed for a Day 1 starting role.
-- TE Logan Thomas had a big day with three TDs. Play of the day was a leaping grab over William Jackson.
-- Ryan Fitzpatrick is the starter. No question there.
The former Wildcat is going to see the field a lot early on and seems to have made a really good impression on the WFT coaching staff.
It’ll be good to see him continue the recent string of UK linebackers having success in the league.
