Now that Week 1 is here, the Kentucky Wildcats have unveiled their first official depth chart for the 2021 season.
Pretty much everything looks as expected, including the offensive line being left tackle Dare Rosenthal, left guard Kenneth Horsey, right guard Eli Cox, right tackle Darian Kinnard, and center Luke Fortner following his move from guard.
Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald was able to hold off Octavious Oxendine to be the starting defensive tackle.
Despite missing most of fall camp, Jacquez Jones is tied with Trevin Wallace for the starting middle linebacker job.
Wallace Jager Burton, Martez Thrower and Kahlil Saunders are the only true freshmen currently on the depth chart.
The six players facing burglary charges — RJ Adams, Jutahn McClain, Andru Phillips, Earnest Sanders, Vito Tisdale and Joel Williams — are not on the depth chart.
At punter, it’s listed as Wilson Berry or Colin Goodfellow. Berry, the expected starter, has been battling a minor back injury but is expected to practice this week.
