That’s right, folks. Game day for the Kentucky Wildcats football team is officially one week from today. Seven days from now I will be typing Quickies that preview their game against ULM before I head to the radio station to host our two hour season preview.
Talking season is officially over as it’s now game week. While Kentucky’s first opponent isn’t anything to really get excited about, next Saturday will be the first time we really get to see Liam Coen’s offense, Will Levis’ much ballyhooed arm, and Wan’Dale Robinson’s delayed debut as a Wildcat.
The predictions for Kentucky football have been all over the map. Some analysts believe that Kentucky can challenge for second place in the East while others don’t have them going over the 6.5 win prediction. We all know the defense is going to be good, the offensive line will be stellar, and they have a stable of running backs with diverse skills.
But the unanswered questions about receivers and Will Levis keep people from going all-in on this team. This is an understandable stance considering Mark Stoops’ history with those positions and I count myself as one of those that still is a little skeptical about how good this team can be.
While week one will be fun, week two will give us answers to many of our questions.

Not even sure what to do with the "toad" comment. So I'm just going to leave it. pic.twitter.com/BIePotK3JV

ICYMI former UofL assistant basketball coach Dino Gaudio called Louisville AD Vince Tyra a “toad” in a recorded conversation with bumbling head coach Chris Mack. I hope you get Crawford’s joke.
