The first-ever Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan fest that was scheduled for Sunday at Rupp Arena has been postponed.
Organizers are working to reschedule the event due to a “scheduling conflict.”
The event, hosted by a NIL venture, was set to feature Wildcats Dontaie Allen, Keion Brooks, CJ Fredrick, Kellan Grady, Bryce Hopkins, Davion Mintz, Jacob Toppin, Lance Ware, TyTy Washington, and Sahvir Wheeler with “additional student-athletes to be announced soon.”
KSR’s Jack Pilgrim reports that the event will now likely happen sometime in September.
The players were set to participate in a slam dunk exhibition, 3-point contest, skills showcase and scrimmage similar to Big Blue Madness that will welcome fans back to Rupp Arena on October 15 after it was a TV-only event due to COVID-19 protocols in 2021. The Blue and White Game is set for October 22.
Thus, the Big Blue Nation will have to wait a little longer to see their new-look Wildcat team that has the most experience of any UK team in quite some time.
