The Kentucky Wildcats are just under two weeks away from kicking off their 2021 season against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks.
Now, we have updating betting lines for the opening games of the college football season from Circa Sports in Las Vegas.
The BBN has high expectations for the Wildcats this season, and they are a heavy favorite in Week 1 with a 29-point spread. The over/under is set at 56.

In the Mark Stoops era, the Cats have traditionally underperformed in Week 1 matchups, as they have only covered the opening week spread twice under Stoops.
However, Louisiana Monroe is one of the worst teams in all of college football, as they finished the 2020 season with an 0-10 record and covered the spread just three times all season. In fact, they lost by at least 29 points in four games last season.
Under Mark Stoops, the Cats are 16-17 against the spread in non-conference games.
To me, 29 points seems like a lot for Week 1 when you consider that the Cats are coming out with a new offensive coordinator, new quarterback, and mostly new offensive line.
Cats vs. Warhawks will kick off September 4th at 12:00 pm ET, and the game will air on the SEC Network.
