The Kentucky Wildcats volleyball team was picked by SEC head coaches to win the conference for a fifth-straight year, the league office announced Wednesday.
Three Wildcats were also named preseason All-SEC in sophomore outside hitter Madi Skinner, senior outside hitter Alli Stumler and junior middle blocker Azhani Tealer.
Kentucky led the way with seven first-place votes with Florida, picked to finish second, receiving the other six. These were also the only two SEC teams ranked in the first AVCA Top-25 Poll.
Looking ahead, Kentucky will play its lone exhibition game Thursday night at 6 pm ET against Western Kentucky in Bowling Green. Tickets to the match inside Diddle Arena are free.
The regular season kicks off Friday, Aug. 27th in Dayton (OH), as Kentucky plays Texas State at 10:30 am ET, followed by a 7 pm ET match against host Dayton.
