Top-25 recruit and 5-star shooting guard Cason Wallace will soon be in the Bluegrass visiting the University of Kentucky campus.
Per a report from On3’s Gerry Hamilton, Wallace will be making an official visit to Kentucky on August 26th. He’s also cut his list to three — Kentucky Wildcats, Tennessee and Texas — and will be making his decision on November 7th.
Wallace is ranked as a 5-star recruit by both 247sports and Rivals, 247 ranks him as the 17th overall prospect in the 2022 class and as the third-best combo guard, while Rivals ranks him 16th overall and as the fourth-best shooting guard in the nation.
The most recent buzz has been that the Richardson (TX) native will land at either Kentucky or Tennessee. Both of the 247 Crystal Ball projections favor Kentucky to land Wallace, while the three Rivals FutureCasts are in favor of the Cats, one of which came today from recruiting expert Dan McDonald.
Wallace currently holds offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Baylor, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, Creighton, Illinois and several others.
Kentucky currently has only Skyy Clark committed in the 2022 class. Thus, Wallace would be a welcome addition to continue building the Wildcats’ 2022-23 roster.
